Last couple stops on the way home...

Our first roadtrip this summer was a week-long trip round western Oregon. It started off with quick trip down the I5 corridor to Grant's Pass. After that we crossed over the mountains, hitting the Oregon Caves and the giant redwood forest on the way to the coast. The rest of the trip was coming up the southern Oregon coast before crossing back after Lincoln City.

After a great day of crabbing, we decided to "hole-up" in a hotal and have a restaurant meal for a change, so we went up the road to Depot Bay. That way, once morning hit, we could do a little whale watching (sorry - didn't see any) and a little shopping, then head on home.

Depot Bay in the evening.

One great restaurant!

and a very pretty sunset...

Sean at the continental breakfast...

...and Kayl liked the rolls too!

A cool statue on the way to the whale watching.

Great views of Depot Bay...

and wildlife...

...and the rugged seashore.

That's a pretty big claim!

If you get a chance to stop by in late summer, this is the place to see them!
